Swiss chard
7 oz
onion
1/2 unit
cheddar cheese
2 handfuls
Pantry ingredients
olive oil
4 tbsp
salt
2 pinches
Instructions
1
Wash the Swiss chard leaves and cut into strips. Pat dry with a cloth and set aside for later.
2
Mince or cut the onion into strips, whatever you prefer. Next, put a little oil into a skillet and heat, then add the onion. Lightly fry over medium heat, stirring often.
3
When the onion is translucent, add the chard and lightly fry over medium heat for 6–7 minutes, stirring regularly. Season the vegetables with a small sprinkling of salt. The chard will have reduced in volume by a lot in this time.
4
Beat the 4 eggs with a pinch of salt.
5
In a bowl, mix the chard with the beaten eggs. Add 2 handfuls of cheddar cheese, or any cheese you might have in your fridge, and mix in.
6
Add a little oil to the skillet you used to cook the chard, pour in the mixture, and let cook. When the mixture sets on the bottom, flip the frittata to finish cooking on the other side (use a plate, as if making a Spanish omelet). Serve and enjoy!
