Put the oil into a skillet and heat. Then add the minced garlic and infuse the oil with its flavor.

Add the chicken legs to the skillet with pinch of salt, and cook over low heat for 8 minutes, turning from time to time to brown evenly.

Mince 5 basil leaves.

Pour the tomato sauce with the minced basil into the skillet. Cook the chicken legs with the tomato sauce over low heat, covered with a lid, for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat, garnish with a couple of basil leaves, and serve.

Making your own tomato sauce is very satisfying. All you need to do is follow these simple steps. Mince 1 garlic clove and dice three tomatoes. Heat some olive oil in a skillet and add the garlic. Fry for 2–3 minutes, stirring often, and then add the tomatoes. Cook for 25 minutes, covered with a lid on to prevent splashes. Next, use a fork to crush the tomato, and add several minced basil or oregano leaves. Stir. Season with a little salt and sugar. Adjust the seasoning if necessary. Remove from the heat. Transfer to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
