Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Start by preparing the vegetables: Cut the butternut squash into small pieces. Wash and cut the kale leaves into strips. Cut the onion into strips.

Spread out the diced butternut squash and onion inside an ovenproof dish. Drizzle with oil and season with a little salt. Stir with a spoon and put into the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes.

Take out the dish. Scatter the kale and chickpeas over the squash and onion. Return to the oven for 20 more minutes.

After 5 minutes, sprinkle the grated cheese over the vegetables and let melt in the oven.

Serve immediately.
