Instructions

1
Warm the oven to 350ºF.
2
Carefully wash the kale and separate the leaves from the stems, which are a little too tough for this recipe (you can save them to add to a broth, a green juice, or a shake, etc.).
3
In a large bowl, make the marinade by mixing the olive oil with the soy sauce, the spices (you can add or omit whatever you prefer), and the juice of half a lemon.
4
Cut the kale leaves into medium pieces, add to the bowl, and mix well until thoroughly coated with the marinade.
5
Then arrange the leaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, or until you see that they turned crisp. Be careful they don't burn! When ready, serve on their own or with the rest of the marinade as a dipping sauce. They also make a great accompaniment for another dish.

Tips & Tricks

If you have any at home, you can add a teaspoon of brewer's yeast or nutritional yeast to the marinade to thicken. It will give them a special touch.

You can also add heat with a splash of sriracha sauce (the Asian hot sauce that is used to make phad thai) or ground cayenne pepper.
