Instructions

Combine the spinach with the water in a blender or food processor. Blend for 20–30 seconds to a green juice.

Peel the banana, orange, and pineapple. Wash the celery. Add everything to the green juice.

Blend for one minute until smooth. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

Pineapple is best if it’s fresh. You can use canned pineapple, just don’t add the syrup. Or better yet, use pineapple canned in its own juice.

You can enhance the protein content of this smoothie by adding one teaspoon of wheat germ, one of flax seeds, and one of chia seeds. If adding seeds, crush them in a coffee grinder first so that they don’t leave any lumps.

You can also add a slice of fresh ginger and half a peeled cucumber, which will add extra vitamins but hardly any flavor.

You can replace the spinach with any other kind of leafy greens, although spinach has the mildest taste.
