If you have other vegetables in your refrigerator, don't be shy and add them to your dish. Try creating your own version of this recipe!
If you don't have microwavable rice but you have normal rice, it's even healthier. To prepare the rice, put 1 tablespoon of oil into a pot. Add 1 cup rice and 2 cloves garlic. Let it cook for a few seconds, constantly stirring so the grains of rice don't brown or burn. Next, add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Stir to mix the ingredients over high heat. Let it cook for 3-5 more minutes over high heat. The water will begin to evaporate. When you see it begins to boil, lower the heat to low and cover with a lid for 15 minutes. After this time remove the lid and try the rice. If it needs more time, 3-5 minutes should be sufficient. Remove from the heat and you have your white rice ready.
