Wash the seeds and toast them in a pan for 5 minutes (if they are already toasted sesame seeds, this step isn't necessary).

Once cooled, using food processor add the seeds, salt and oil. Stop and scrape the walls with a spatula and repeat until you have a smooth paste consistency.
Tips & Tricks
You can substitute the oil for water.
Take care not to burn the seeds when toasting to avoid a bitter taste.
To make a sweet dip, substitute the oil for honey and you will have a delicious spread to put on your toast.
If you'd like to add more flavor to your tahini, add a pinch of salt, chopped clove of garlic, and lemon juice. It goes great with your chicken, meats, salads and vegetables.
