Instructions
1
Start by preparing the ingredients. Mince the garlic. Peel the carrot and slice into thin rounds. Cut the onion into strips and the chicken breast into cubes
2
Lightly fry the onion in a skillet with a little oil. After 3–4 minutes, add the garlic and fry for 1 more minute.
3
Next add the diced chicken, seaason with a little pepper, and continue to cook over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring often.
4
Then add the carrot and continue to cook for 3 more minutes.
5
Pour in the tomato sauce, a little water, and the sweet paprika (and a pinch of cumin, if you want.) Cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes. When the carrot is soft (use a fork to test), remove from the heat serve on a plate. If the carrot is still hard, cook a little longer.
Tips & Tricks
If you have cumin powder, add a pinch to the chicken when instructed in the recipe for a delicious flavor.
You can make this dish into a more substantial meal by adding some potato. Just peel, cut into chunks, and add with the carrots. Leave longer in the skillet for the potato to cook. When soft (use a fork to test) remove the skillet from the heat.
Tomato sauce contains salt, so there’s no need to add any more, unless you feel it's needed.
