Preheat your oven to 350°F.

In a bowl mix the cinnamon with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Set aside for later.

In another bowl add the flour, yeast, and salt (if you have baking soda add half a teaspoon), mix all of the ingredients and set aside.

With a mixer blend the room temperature butter with the white sugar. Once you see that the mixture is fluffy, add the eggs and keep it blending. Lastly, add the yogurt and mix well.

Now it's time to add the dry and wet ingredients together. For this, add the blended liquids to the bowl with the flour mixture. You can use the mixer to mix the ingredients together.

Grease a cake mold and pour half of the batter. Next, we add another layer by pouring half of the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top. Repeat these two steps with the other halves of the batter and cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes. You can tell when the cake is baked to perfection when you poke the middle with a knife or toothpick and it comes out clean.

Once you have achieved this, remove from the oven and let it cool before removing the cake from the cake mold.
Tips & Tricks
If you have vanilla essence or extract at home, add a teaspoon when you beat the eggs.
Add half a teaspoon of baking soda with the yeast to boost it.
You can crush almonds and add them to the sponge cake. Do so by adding them on top of the first layer of cinnamon and sugar.
