Instructions

Rehydrate the TVP. To do this, soak in a bowl of water for at least 20 minutes, then drain.

Heat a little olive oil into a skillet and lightly fry the garlic. When colored and the oil has been infused with their flavor, add the TVP and lightly fry for a couple of minutes, stirring often.

Wash and drain the navy beans and add to the skillet. Season with a pinch of salt. Fry with the TVP for a couple of minutes.

Pour in the tomato sauce (homemade is best), reduce the heat to a minimum, and simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Divide the contents of the skillet into two ovenproof dishes. Sprinkle a handful of grated cheese over each dish and put in the oven at 400ºF. Take out of the oven when the cheese has melted.
