corn starch

ketchup

garlic powder

black pepper

soy sauce

rice vinegar

brown sugar
1/4 cup
apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Pour the water into a bowl and add the corn starch. Mix well until the corn starch has dissolved.

Finely mince the garlic.

Add all of the ingredients from the recipe except the corn starch water into a blender or food processor and blend well.

Move this blended mix into a pot over medium-high heat. When it begins to boil, lower the heat and slowly add in the corn starch water. Little by little the sauce will begin to thicken. Once it's to the thickness to your liking, turn off the heat and serve.

You can use this sauce for many different asian inspired dishes.
You can use tomato paste instead of ketchup if you'd like.
