Instructions

Fill a pan with water and bring to a boil. Then add a little salt and the macaroni. Cook for the time shown on the package.

In the meantime, mince the onion and clean and dice the mushrooms.

Heat a little oil in a skillet and lightly fry the onion until it is soft and translucent. Add the mushrooms, season with a little salt, and cook over medium heat. When cooked, add the cream, season with a little salt, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

Then add the macaroni to the sauce and mix well. Serve and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
Tips & Tricks
If you want to amp up the flavor, add in a little white wine with the mushrooms and cook for 3–4 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate. Then continue with the recipe.
The light cream can be replaced with plant-based or regular milk. The sauce will be less creamy, but delicious all the same.
