Instructions

Clean the hake, removing the skin and any bones. Then shred in a food processor or use a knife.

Mince the onion and garlic. Heat a little olive oil in a skillet and lightly fry the vegetables for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring often, until soft.

In a bowl, mix the shredded fish with the cooked onion and garlic.

Add one beaten egg, the breadcrumbs and a little salt. Mix well, then refrigerate for a short while to firm the mixture (20 minutes should be long enough).

Use your hands to shape a little of the mixture into individual patties. Make as many as you can with the mixture.

Heat a little olive oil into a skillet and fry the fish cakes on both sides. Enjoy!
