Spaghetti with Broccoli, Garlic, and Walnuts

In a boiling pot of water, cook the pasta for the time indicated in the instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

Wash the broccoli and cut into small florets. Put water to boil in a pot and add the broccoli florets. Cook for about 3-4 minutes then drain and set aside.

Zest half a lemon and set aside.

In a large pot add the olive oil. Once it's hot add the minced garlic. Lightly fry on medium heat taking care not to burn it, so about 1 minute. Next, add the chopped walnuts. Cook for several minutes.

After this time add the broccoli florets to the pan. Cook for a couple minutes and then add the pasta you had set aside along with the lemon zest.

Mix the ingredients gently and leave them on the stove for a couple more minutes so the flavors integrate. Serve and enjoy.

You can finish by sprinkling some parmesan or cheddar cheese on top.
