Instructions

Drain the tofu and dice.

Add the tofu, mushrooms, egg, breadcrumbs, cashews, chia seeds, soy sauce, mustard, and spices to the food processor. Blend until you have a moldable consistency.

Finely slice the onion. Add some oil to a pan and cook the onion until caramelized. Once it's caramelized, add to the hamburger mixture.

Heat up your griddle or pan. Add some olive oil and cook the hamburgers for 6-7 minutes on each side. The time will depend on the thickness of each patty. Place a slice of cheese on top to melt.

Put the hamburgers together. Toast the buns, and place the patty with cheese on top. Add a slice or two of tomato and some lettuce on top. Serve with your favorite sauces.
