Put the rolled oats into a deep container and pour water over them. Let soak for 15 minutes.

Drain off the water in a strainer and rinse the oats with tap water.

Transfer the oats to a blender or food processor, add 2 cups of water, the honey, and a pinch of salt (and 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, if you have any and feel like using it). Blend for a couple of minutes. Then add the other 2 cups of water and blend again.

Strain again and serve in a pitcher. Check the sweetness and adjust with a little more honey if needed. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Tips & Tricks
For a special hint of flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla essence or cinnamon. Once you try it, you won't go back to shop-bought!
