Tips & Tricks
If you have avocado or corn, you can add a little to the salad.
If you don't have instant rice but you do have regular rice, better yet because it's more natural. To cook it, put a tablespoon of oil, a cup of rice, and 2 garlic cloves in a pan over the heat. Fry lightly for a few seconds, stirring constantly without burning or browning the grains. Then add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Stir a little to mix all ingredients over high heat. Cook for 3–5 minutes. The water will gradually evaporate off. When you see that there are no more bubbles, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and let steam for 15 minutes. Then take off the lid and taste the rice. If you notice that it’s still a little hard, cook for 3–5 more minutes, then remove from the heat. Your white rice is ready to use.
