Instructions

1
Wash the leek and slice into thin rounds. Slice the carrot into rounds.
2
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a pot, and when it gets hot, add the sliced clove of garlic. When it begins to color, add 1 cup rice. Stir for several minutes before adding 2 cups of hot water and a teaspoon of salt. Cook over high heat for 7 minutes. After this time add the leek and carrot to the pot. Turn down the heat to low and cook for 8 more minutes. If in this time, it absorbs all of the water and is still hard, add more water. Let it sit for a little bit.
3
Beat the egg. Add some olive oil to a pan and cook the egg, giving it an omelette shape. Next, place the egg onto a cutting board and chop into small pieces.
4
Using the same pan add more olive oil and cook the beef. Once cooked, place over the cutting board and chop into small pieces.
5
Mix the egg and beef with the cooked rice and vegetables. Once well mixed add to the pan and sauté. Add soy sauce to the rice. Turn off the heat when it is fried and serve.
