
Sardine Sandwich with Lettuce and Tomato

sardine in oil
1 small can

mustard

mayonnaise

Instructions

Open the can of sardines. Remove them and place on a cutting board. Use a knife to carefully cut them in half. Remove the central bone.

Add the sardines, a piece of onion, the shredded carrot, mayonnaise, and mustard to either your blender or food processor. Blend until you have a sardine pâté.

Toast the bread. On one slice spread some of the pâté on it. Place a handful of lettuce and halved tomatoes on top. Finish by spreading more pâté on the other slice. Close the sandwich and presto!

Repeat the steps to put the other sandwich together.
