Instructions

Wash the lettuce leaves and put into a salad bowl.

Peel and cut the pear into relatively thin slices. Heat a little olive oil in a skillet and lightly fry the pear slices until they soften and warm through.

Cut open the pomegranate and remove the seeds.

Place the hazelnuts on a cutting board and use a hammer or something hard to break into small pieces.

Arrange the the warm pear slices over the lettuce and crumble over with goat cheese. Sprinkle pomegranate and crushed hazelnuts over the top.

Try it with our recommended dressing? In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon honey with 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, and a little salt. Whisk briskly until smooth and thick, and then pour over the salad.

We used mâche and arugula, but you can use any variety of salad greens you want.
